Petrol prices to increase significantly again in Hungary
From today, the market price of diesel will increase by HUF 30 (EUR 0.074) gross. But those who can fill up are still in luck. According to experts, the fuel shortage is growing. Both petrol stations and motorists are finding the going tough.
According to holtankoljak.hu, from Wednesday onwards, diesel fuel in Hungary will be HUF 30 more expensive gross. Petrol will not increase. Thus, the average price of 95-litre petrol in Hungary is 686.9 HUF/litre (1.70 EUR/litre). While the average price for diesel is 823.9 HUF/litre (2.04 EUR/litre). The latter price almost broke a record high. The only time diesel cost more than this was in June this year.

Fuel is expensive, but anyone who can fill up is lucky. According to Gábor Egri, president of the Independent Petrol Stations Association, small petrol stations have not yet received any support from the government. In addition to the price freeze, the further increase in gas and electricity prices is also making the financial situation of small petrol stations more difficult, index.hu reports.
Eszter Bujdos, the managing director of holtankoljak.hu, said that demand for fuel will fall at the end of the summer. However, there is still a fuel shortage. “In the past few days, private petrol stations have been informed by Mol that they would further reduce the amount of fuel they could sell, from the previous 50 percent service to 35 percent for petrol,” Bujdos said.

I don’t understand why a petrol station stays open when it looses money on every liter they sell. If The Dictator wants a cheaper fuel he can reduce the 27% VAT on fuel. Instead he gets all the VAT and the petrol station has to subsidy the fuel out of their own pocket.
That’s why only idiots open a business in Hungary.
Are there any LIGHTS on in Hungary ???
Whats going on ???
Surely, its not the case of Hungarians enjoying pain – being tortured, battered into submission, witnessing the collapse of their Economy occuring ALL around them.
It’s deplorable whats happening in Hungary and the citizens, in millions inclusive of millions who voted in April 2022, for the return of the Fidesz Party under the “Dictatorial” leader – current Prime Minister of Hungary – Victor Orban – that just continue to sit back – in a PASSIVE position and somewhat attitude – that resembles Acceptance – of the MESS their country is FACTUALLY in.
Amazing – Unbelievable – that could mean Hungary is desending – into a perilous position.
